Tradies National Health Month – Knee and Ankle injuries
We are very excited to announce that we will be recommencing our Run Strong classes on Thursday 2nd of July at 6:30 PM. Run Strong is a 45 min run specific gym based strength session held weekly. Call or email us to secure your place (limited numbers will apply).
Tips to remain a healthy Tradie include:
- Use load protective equipment, such as kneeling pads, steps
- Low-impact physical activities
- Maintain a healthy weight (the heavy you are the greater the loads to the legs)
- Wear support footwear and make choices to wear compliant footwear at low weight (don’t wear heavy boots every day, there are alternatives)
- Stretch regularly, even try to stretch throughout the day
- Unloading in a pool can be soothing to the joints
AND Seek help before you break down with injuries, don’t ignore your pain!
