Are you feeling less steady on your feet? If tasks that used to be simple now leave you unsteady — or if you’ve noticed more trips and falls — our balance classes in Tingalpa may help.
Balance relies on three key systems:
- 👁️ Vision (eyes)
- 👂 Vestibular system (inner ear)
- 💪 Proprioception (muscles, tendons, joints)
When one of these isn’t working properly, your brain doesn’t get the best signals to keep you upright. This can make falls more likely. The good news? Balance can generally be retrained.
At our chiropractic clinic in Tingalpa, we offer a 6-week balance program that begins with an initial assessment to understand your unique needs. You’ll then take part in weekly small-group sessions, targeting:
- Stationary and moving balance
- Dual-task activities (balance while thinking/doing other things)
- Everyday activities like walking and bending
Classes are low-intensity, paced to your comfort, and barefoot where possible to help your feet better sense the ground. You’ll also receive home exercises and education to build confidence between classes.
