Max Cuneo

BPhysio, BNutrSc, Grad. Cert. Public Health, DNS Exercise Trainer, Level 1 Anthropometrist (ISAK), and Level 1 S&C Coach (ASCA).

Physiotherapist & Nutritionist with over 10 years of experience as a health professional.

Having lived with coeliac disease for more than 25 years, Max understands the important role nutrition plays in supporting long-term health, recovery and physical performance.

Max has been involved with Sports Medicine Australia for four years, lecturing within the Sports Trainer education program and contributing to the redevelopment of the nutrition curriculum.

Outside of work, Max has previously competed in sailing, bodybuilding and rock climbing, while also training in Muay Thai. Today, he is an avid runner, spearfisherman and snowboarder. These experiences have given him a strong appreciation of the relationship between physical activity and nutrition, and how both work together to support performance, rehabilitation, recovery and long-term health—whether someone is participating in recreational exercise, competitive sport or simply striving to be more active.

Max believes nutrition should complement physiotherapy and exercise, helping optimise rehabilitation, recovery and long-term health outcomes.
