Initial Consultations

During your first consultation at Institute of Sports and Spines, our Physiotherapists will take a complete history of the complaint. This includes your general health, how and when the problem started and the impact on your life.  In addition, a comprehensive physical examination will follow. This may include; postural analysis, functional and orthopaedic tests, movement patterns and exercises.

Once a diagnosis has been made, we can develop a prognosis and treatment plan. Treatment options will be discussed. Most importantly, your visit to our clinic is about choices.  We want you actively involved in achieving your goals.

After that, treatment follows. This may include a wide range of Physiotherapy and ancillary techniques. In addition, Outcome assessment questionnaires may be used to help us assess your progress.

If you haven’t seen a Physiotherapist at our clinic before, please arrive ten minutes prior to your appointment to fill in a new patient form.

Standard Consultations

Follow-up appointments will include progress assessment. How have you been since the previous appointment? We plan to progress from visit to visit. They will then reassess problem movements or positions before treatment continues.
