Your first consultation at Institute of Sports and Spines will include a complete history of the complaint and your general health. A comprehensive physical examination will follow which may include; postural analysis, functional and orthopaedic tests, movement patterns and exercises.
Once a diagnosis and prognosis has been reached, treatment options will be discussed. Your visit to our clinic is about choices. We want you to be actively involved in achieving your goals.
Treatment will then follow which may include a wide range of Physiotherapy and ancillary techniques. Sometimes outcome assessment questionnaires will be used to help us gauge your progress.
If you haven’t seen a Physiotherapist at our clinic before, it would be appreciated that you arrive ten minutes prior to your appointment to fill in a new patient form.
Follow-up appointments with your Physiotherapist include discussion on progress since the previous appointment and reassessment of problematic movements or positions before treatment continues.
After the Appointment

We believe that your care continues after you have left your appointment – you are a valued patient and will continue to be nurtured back to full health. This is why follow up appointments are sometimes recommended – so that the job isn’t left half-done!
